Amazon launch in Poland – entrepreneurs can already register their accounts
- 27 January 2021
Amazon’s entry into the Polish market had been anticipated for a few months already – this intensified in November 2020, when InPost extended its cooperation with Amazon.
Today, on the 27th of January 2021, Amazon made it possible to register accounts in Polish on sell.amazon.pl in preparation for the, already official, launch of the service.
Amazon: It’s time to launch full retail offering in Poland
In today’s statement, Amazon stated that they were ready to introduce the full retail offer for consumers in Poland:
“Amazon has been supporting Polish customers for many years and helping to sell products of Polish entrepreneurs in our European stores. The next stage is the introduction of a full retail offer for consumers in Poland and it is now time to take this step,” Alex Ootes, vice president for EU Expansion at Amazon, said in a statement.
What is the difference between Amazon and Allegro?
Amazon is the global online sales leader. After the launch in Poland, it will become the main competitor of the leading Polish e-commerce platform Allegro which made its debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in October. We described it in our article: How will the new API of Allegro affect the availability of analytical data?
The main difference between the Polish and American leaders is that there are no auctions or products by individuals on Amazon. It also offers slightly wider possibilities of buying sponsored offers and also receiving the Buy Box, which we wrote about in our article: How to effectively monitor prices on Amazon?
How to track prices on Amazon?
Price tracking on Amazon and price automation based on data from this marketplace is crucial for online shops. We would like to remind that Dealavo clients who decide for the Counter Price plan (price monitoring on Google Shopping, Ceneo and Allegro), will be able to add Amazon data to their account without any additional fees.
